This base-mounted end suction single stage pump comprises a cast iron casing with center-line discharge and integrally cast mounting feet. The assembly utilizes a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. Engineered with a dry shaft design, the pump prevents fluid contact with the shaft, ensuring a 125 PSI operating capacity without the use of a wear ring. A mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components provides fluid containment, while standard pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections allow for gauge installation.
This assembly is powered by a 20 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM, incorporating Aegis grounding on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, yielding a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
