This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a cast iron casing with a 2-1/2" suction and a 1-1/2" discharge. The unit uses a 9-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft equipped with a bronze shaft sleeve. The design incorporates a dry shaft construction to prevent contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. It includes a mechanical seal consisting of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for operation at temperatures up to 250°F. The pump utilizes ANSI Class 125 flanges and is constructed without a wear ring. Pressure tappings are provided on both the suction and discharge connections.
This assembly is powered by a 30 HP Baldor premium efficiency ODP motor, which meets MG1-12.55 standards and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The motor is configured for a 230-460V, 60Hz, 3PH power supply and operates at 3450 RPM. The unit features a NEMA 284TS frame and utilizes an across-the-line starting method. The pump is mounted on a welded base with an integrated drip pan and a Woods coupler protected by a standard coupler guard. The DOE PEI value for this pump is 0.89.
