This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid movement. It utilizes a bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design that eliminates contact between the circulating fluid and the pump shaft to prevent corrosion. The unit incorporates a mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber to support operation at 125 PSI without a wear ring. Flush seal line taps are provided to allow for the installation of an optional filter to protect the seal from non-condensable particles in open systems, while pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections are included as a standard component.
Powered by a 2 HP, Premium Efficiency, ODP, 1750 RPM motor with Aegis Grounding, the assembly operates on 380-460V / 3PH power with a DOE PEI rating of 0.43. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA Type 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
