This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 2-1/2" suction connection and a 2" discharge connection. The pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a 9-1/2" nominal diameter stainless steel impeller. It utilizes a dry shaft design with a stainless steel shaft and a bronze shaft sleeve. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat, a carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for temperatures up to 250 °F. The unit includes ANSI Class 125 flanges and is assembled without a wear ring.
The pump operates at 1750 RPM and is driven by a 3 HP Baldor TEFC motor housed in a NEMA 182 T-frame. It is configured for 230-460V, 60Hz, 3PH power and meets premium efficiency standards per NEMA MG1-12.55, incorporating AEGIS shaft grounding. The assembly is mounted on a welded base that includes a drip pan and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. This configuration uses a Woods coupler for the drive connection. The pump has a DOE PEI value of 0.86.
