This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design to prevent circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. For pressure regulation, the unit supports 125 PSI operation without a wear ring. The mechanical seal incorporates a silicon-carbide seat half and EPT rubber components to manage system fluids.
The pump operates with a 15 HP premium efficiency motor within an ODP enclosure at 1750 RPM, integrating Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The S in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
