This base-mounted end suction pump integrates a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet to provide structural stability. The assembly comprises a bronze impeller coupled with a stainless steel shaft, shielded by a bronze shaft sleeve to facilitate maintenance. A dry shaft design prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft, while the mechanical seal utilizes a ceramic seat and EPT rubber to ensure operational integrity under pressures reaching 125 PSI. This configuration maintains the internal components without the use of wear rings during standard service.
The motor operates at 7.5 HP with a Premium Efficiency rating, an ODP enclosure, a speed of 1750 RPM, Aegis grounding, and a 200-230V 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
