This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and center-line discharge for air venting. The unit integrates a bronze impeller, which is dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3, connected to a stainless steel shaft. A dry shaft design protects the assembly from contact with circulating fluid, while a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve assists in component maintenance. The mechanical seal assembly utilizes a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, constructed for 125 PSI operation. Pressure tappings are integrated into the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
The motor is a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC model operating at 1750 RPM, which incorporates Aegis grounding and runs on 380-460V 3PH power with a DOE PEI of 0.44. The S in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
