This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a stainless steel shaft paired with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, employing a dry shaft design to prevent circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. Mechanical sealing comprises an EPT rubber component and a ceramic seat, rated for a maximum pressure of 125 PSI. Integrally cast mounting feet allow for secure installation, while the design allows for servicing internal components without disturbing system piping.
The pump operates with a 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 3450 RPM, which integrates Aegis grounding on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
