This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features an 8" suction and a 6" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The pump is constructed with a cast iron casing, a 13-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller, and a bronze wear ring. It utilizes a stainless steel shaft equipped with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design to prevent contact with the circulating fluid. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for operation at temperatures up to 250°F. The casing includes suction and discharge pressure tappings, flush seal line taps, and a centerline discharge for air venting.
The system operates at 1750 RPM and is powered by a 40 HP Baldor premium efficiency motor in a NEMA 324T frame. The motor enclosure is ODP, rated for 40°C ambient temperatures, and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The unit is configured for 230-460/60/3 PH power and an across the line starting method. It is mounted on a welded base that incorporates an integrated drip pan, a Woods coupler, and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. This assembly provides a PEI value of 0.93.
