This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The assembly integrates a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft, which is covered by a bronze shaft sleeve. For fluid containment, the pump utilizes a mechanical seal constructed with a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber. This construction sustains a pressure rating of 125 PSI without a wear ring. The hydraulic components are dynamically balanced to ensure operational stability within the piping system.
The pump operates with a 5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, which integrates Aegis grounding and utilizes a 380-460V, 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.44. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
