This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with center-line discharge and an integrally cast bronze impeller. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat half with EPT rubber elements. This unit provides 125 PSI operation and facilitates service and maintenance procedures without disturbing system piping.
The pump utilizes a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding and a 200-230V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.45. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
