This centrifugal end suction pump integrates a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft and shaft sleeve. The dry shaft construction eliminates contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft, maintaining structural integrity up to 125 PSI. An EPT and ceramic mechanical seal facilitates fluid management within the pump assembly. The center-line discharge design promotes positive air venting, while the unit utilizes tapped gauge ports at both the suction and discharge connections to simplify system monitoring and maintenance.
Powered by a 40 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, this assembly achieves a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
