This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design utilizes a dry shaft configuration that protects the stainless steel shaft from contact with circulating fluid, aided by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal with ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber components seals the assembly. This pump architecture provides a 125 PSI pressure rating without the use of a wear ring.
This assembly utilizes a 40 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, equipped with Aegis grounding and powered by 380-460V / 3PH electrical input, achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The S in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
