This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a 3" suction and a 2-1/2" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The unit is constructed with a cast iron casing, a 9-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller, and a stainless steel shaft with a bronze shaft sleeve. It utilizes a mechanical seal composed of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for temperatures up to 250°F. The casing includes pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections and incorporates a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the shaft and the circulating fluid.
The pump operates at 1750 RPM and is driven by a 5 HP TEFC Baldor Super E motor in NEMA frame 184. It is configured for a 230/460V, 3PH, 60Hz power supply with across-the-line starting. The assembly is mounted on a welded base with an integrated drip pan and includes a Woods coupler with a coupler guard. The motor meets MG1-12.55 efficiency standards and features AEGIS shaft grounding. This pump is EISA compliant with a DOE PEI of 0.88 and an HI energy rating of 12, intended for operation in 40°C ambient temperatures.
