This close-coupled end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller for fluid transfer. The assembly integrates a bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design that prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the pump shaft. A mechanical seal constructed with ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber maintains pressure integrity up to 125 PSI. Pressure tappings are located on the suction and discharge connections, and the pump allows for the installation of a filter at the flush seal line taps to mitigate the impact of non-condensable particles.
The pump operates with a 5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, equipped with Aegis grounding for 380-460V 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.43. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
