This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with a center-line discharge and a bronze impeller. The assembly integrates a dry shaft design that utilizes a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, preventing contact between the shaft and the circulating fluid. Fluid containment is managed by a mechanical seal composed of a ceramic seat and EPT components. The unit maintains an operational pressure rating of 125 PSI, excluding any wear ring. The bearing housing supports the shaft assembly using permanently lubricated sealed-for-life ball bearings.
The motor provides 75 HP with a premium efficiency rating in a TEFC enclosure, operating at 1750 RPM, and incorporates Aegis grounding for power inputs of 380-460V / 3PH. The unit achieves a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
