This close-coupled end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing housing a bronze impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve. The dry shaft mechanical design eliminates contact between the circulating fluid and the pump shaft, operating at pressures up to 125 PSI. A mechanical seal incorporates a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components to prevent leakage. Suction and discharge connections include pressure tappings for system monitoring, while the internal construction supports field maintenance through a slip-on shaft sleeve.
The pump operates with a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, utilizing Aegis grounding for protection, powered by a 380-460V / 3PH electrical supply with a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
