This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with a center-line discharge and integrally cast mounting feet to facilitate positive air venting. The unit integrates a dynamically balanced bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft enclosed by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. This dry shaft construction prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft, minimizing corrosion risks. The mechanical seal assembly comprises a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, providing a pressure rating of 125 PSI. Maintenance is supported by flush seal line taps and gauge ports located on the suction and discharge connections, allowing for service without disturbing the system piping.
This pump utilizes a 25 HP premium efficiency ODP motor operating at 1750 RPM, integrated with Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
