This base-mounted end suction pump incorporates a class 30 cast iron casing with an integrally cast mounting foot and center-line discharge for positive air venting. The unit utilizes a bronze impeller dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3 and a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. This dry shaft construction prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. The mechanical seal assembly utilizes ceramic components and EPT rubber, rated for a maximum pressure of 125 PSI.
The pump is driven by a 60 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis shaft grounding, powered by 380-460V / 3PH electricity, and carries a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
