This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly integrates a bronze shaft sleeve with a stainless steel shaft, utilizing a dry shaft design that eliminates fluid contact with the shaft. It maintains a 125 PSI rating with a wear ring. The pump incorporates a ceramic seat and EPT rubber mechanical seal to manage fluid containment. The design allows for servicing without disturbing system piping and includes pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections.
Powered by a 5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, the pump utilizes 200-230V 3PH power and achieves a DOE PEI of 0.47. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
