This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with center-line discharge and a balanced bronze impeller. The assembly integrates a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, utilizing a dry shaft design rated for 125 PSI operation. A mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber isolates internal components from the circulating fluid to prevent shaft corrosion. Pressure tappings are present at both the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring.
The pump utilizes a 7.5 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by a 380-460V / 3PH supply, achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
