This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a 2-1/2" suction and 2" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The assembly includes a cast iron casing, a 9-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller, and a bronze shaft sleeve. It utilizes a dry shaft design to prevent fluid contact with the shaft and includes a slip-on shaft sleeve to assist in seal maintenance. The mechanical seal consists of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for operation up to 250 °F. Flush seal line taps and pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections are provided. The rear pullout design allows for servicing without removing system piping, and the top center line discharge configuration assists in venting.
The unit operates at 3450 RPM and is driven by a 30 HP WEG motor with an ODP enclosure. It is configured with an across-the-line starting option and a 284 JM frame with feet. The electrical specification is 230-460V/60/3PH, and the motor meets NEMA premium efficiency standards per MG1-12.55. The motor includes AEGIS shaft grounding and is rated for a 40 °C ambient environment. This pump configuration has a DOE PEI value of 0.89.
