This end suction pump incorporates a class 30 cast iron casing with center-line discharge and integrally cast mounting feet to facilitate positive air venting. The unit utilizes a bronze impeller dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3 and mounted to a stainless steel shaft. A dry shaft design protects the internal shaft from contact with circulating fluid, which is covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The pump utilizes an EPT and ceramic mechanical seal, rated for 125 PSI operation. Pressure tappings are provided at the suction and discharge connections to allow for system monitoring, while the bearing housing contains permanently lubricated sealed-for-life ball bearings.
The assembly utilizes a 20 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, 200-230V, 3PH power supply, and a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
