This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a 2-1/2" suction and 1-1/2" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The unit includes a cast iron casing, a bronze impeller with a 6-1/4" nominal diameter, and a stainless steel shaft sleeve. It utilizes a dry shaft design with an easy-to-replace, slip-on shaft sleeve and flush seal line taps. The mechanical seal is constructed with a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, allowing operation at temperatures up to 250°F. The rear pullout design allows for servicing without disturbing system piping, while the top center line discharge simplifies piping layouts and reduces strain. Pressure tappings are included on suction and discharge connections.
The pump is configured with a 5 HP Baldor motor in a JM frame with feet, featuring an ODP enclosure and a drip cover. It operates at 3450 RPM on a 230-460/60/3 power supply with across the line starting. The motor meets NEMA standard efficiency and MG1-12.55 requirements and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The unit is rated for a 40°C ambient temperature with CCW rotation and has a DOE PEI value of 0.89.
