This close-coupled end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to facilitate fluid transfer. The pump utilizes a dry shaft design that eliminates contact between the shaft and the circulating fluid, protecting the internal components from the process medium. A bronze shaft sleeve allows for simplified field maintenance of the mechanical seal. The seal assembly comprises a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber, providing a pressure rating of 125 PSI without the use of a wear ring. This design also provides flush seal line taps and pressure tappings on both the suction and discharge connections.
Powered by a 5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor, this assembly operates at 1750 RPM and incorporates Aegis grounding, accepting 380-460V 3PH power with a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
