This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a cast iron casing with a 4" suction and a 3" discharge, both utilizing ANSI Class 125 flanges. It is equipped with a 7-1/4" nominal diameter bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The internal construction includes a bronze wear ring and a mechanical seal with a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for temperatures up to 250°F. The pump casing design incorporates integrally cast mounting feet and a centerline discharge to facilitate positive air venting.
The unit is powered by a 40 HP Baldor TEFC motor in a NEMA 324TS frame, operating at 3450 RPM. It is configured for a 230-460V/60/3 power supply using across-the-line starting. The motor meets premium efficiency standards and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The assembly is mounted on a welded structural steel base with an integral drip pan and utilizes a Woods coupler covered by an OSHA-compliant guard. This pump has a DOE PEI value of 0.91.
