This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and integrally cast mounting feet to accommodate center-line discharge for air venting. The bronze impeller is hydraulically balanced and fitted to the shaft with a key, while the stainless steel shaft is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve in a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the shaft. A ceramic seat and EPT mechanical seal provide pressure resistance up to 125 PSI. Gauge ports are located at the suction and discharge connections, along with a drain port at the casing bottom. This unit incorporates heavy-duty, permanently lubricated sealed-for-life ball bearings and allows for servicing without disrupting system piping.
Powered by a 60 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, this assembly utilizes a 380-460V / 3PH power supply and maintains a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
