This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features an 8" suction connection and a 6" discharge connection with ANSI Class 250 flanges. The unit consists of a cast iron casing, an 11" nominal diameter bronze impeller, and a stainless steel shaft with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. It utilizes a mechanical seal constructed with a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for temperatures up to 250°F. The design incorporates a dry shaft to prevent contact with the circulating fluid and includes pressure tappings for suction and discharge connections.
The pump operates at 1750 RPM and is powered by a 30 HP Baldor motor with an ODP enclosure and NEMA 286T frame. The electrical configuration is 230-460V, 60Hz, 3PH, with an across-the-line starting option. The motor meets MG1-12.55 premium efficiency standards and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. This assembly is mounted on a welded base with an integral drip pan and utilizes a standard Woods coupler protected by a coupler guard. The pump has a DOE PEI of 0.93.
