This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with an integrally cast mounting feet design and a center-line discharge for positive air venting. The unit integrates a bronze impeller dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3 and a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. This dry shaft construction prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. The pump utilizes a mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, rated for 250°F. The assembly is pressure rated for 125 PSI and incorporates gauge ports at the suction and discharge connections, along with a drain port at the bottom of the casing to facilitate maintenance.
The 30 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operates at 1750 RPM, incorporates Aegis grounding, and is powered by a 200-230V three phase supply with a DOE PEI of 0.44. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
