This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features a cast iron casing with 2-1/2" suction and 2" discharge ports equipped with ANSI Class 125 flanges. It utilizes a 7-1/4" nominal diameter bronze impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve. The pump design incorporates a dry shaft to prevent contact with the circulating fluid and a slip-on shaft sleeve to facilitate seal maintenance. The mechanical seal consists of a silicon-carbide seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for operation at temperatures up to 250 °F. Flush seal line taps and pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections are standard. The rear pullout configuration allows for servicing without removing system piping, while the top center line discharge design assists with self-venting.
This unit is driven by a 2 HP Baldor motor with a 145 JM frame style with feet and a TEFC enclosure. It operates at 1750 RPM and is configured for a 230-460/60/3 power supply. The motor meets NEMA premium efficiency standards per MG1-12.55 and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The system utilizes across the line starting, 40 °C ambient operation, and counter-clockwise rotation. This pump has a DOE PEI of 0.86.
