This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. It utilizes a dry shaft design with a stainless steel shaft and a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The unit incorporates a mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, providing a 125 PSI maximum operating pressure. This configuration protects internal shaft components from circulating fluid while supporting integration via gauge ports at the suction and discharge connections.
The motor operates at 20 HP with premium efficiency and a TEFC enclosure at 3450 RPM, utilizing Aegis grounding and 380-460V / 3PH power, yielding a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
