This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with a 125 PSI rating and an integrally cast bronze impeller. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design that keeps the stainless steel shaft isolated from the circulating fluid, complemented by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. Sealing is managed by a mechanical seal constructed with a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber. The pump integrates gauge ports at the suction and discharge connections to monitor system pressure and contains a wear ring for consistent hydraulic operation.
The pump utilizes a 5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 3450 RPM with Aegis grounding and a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.47. The "S" in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
