This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that isolates the stainless steel shaft from the circulating fluid, further protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal, constructed with a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber, manages system pressure up to 125 PSI.
The pump operates with a 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor at 1750 RPM, incorporating Aegis grounding, operating on 380-460V / 3PH power, and maintaining a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
