This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller to move fluid. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that isolates the stainless steel shaft from the circulating fluid through the use of a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber ensures fluid containment at pressures up to 125 PSI. The pump is engineered with center-line discharge for positive air venting and includes pressure tappings on both the suction and discharge connections for system monitoring.
The system utilizes a 25 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, powered by a 200-230V / 3PH supply, and maintains a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD integrates self-sensing quadratic variable flow technology. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
