This Taco FI Series base-mounted end suction pump features a cast iron casing with ANSI Class 125 flanges, a 1-1/2" suction, and a 1-1/4" discharge. The unit includes a 9-1/2" nominal diameter bronze impeller and a stainless steel shaft with a replaceable shaft sleeve. It utilizes a dry shaft design and is equipped with a mechanical seal composed of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for temperatures up to 250 °F. The casing includes a bronze wear ring and pressure tappings at the suction and discharge connections. Bearing support is provided by sealed-for-life ball bearings within a cast iron bearing housing.
The pump operates at 1750 RPM and is driven by a 3 HP Baldor motor with an ODP enclosure and a 182 T frame. It is configured for a 230-460/60/3 PH power supply with an across-the-line starting option. The assembly includes a welded base with an integrated drip pan, a Woods coupler, and an OSHA-compliant coupler guard. The motor meets NEMA premium efficiency standards per MG1-12.55, and the assembly features an AEGIS shaft grounding ring. This pump is rated for a 40 °C ambient temperature and has a DOE PEI value of 0.86.
