This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a durable cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design integrates a bronze shaft sleeve to protect internal components, while the dry shaft configuration prevents contact between the circulating fluid and the shaft. Internal sealing is managed by a mechanical seal incorporating a ceramic seat half and EPT rubber. Suction and discharge connections include pressure tappings for system monitoring, and the assembly is rated for pressures up to 125 PSI. A slip-on shaft sleeve enables maintenance of the seal in the field.
Powered by a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, the pump receives 200-230V 3PH power, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
