This close-coupled end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with a bronze impeller and a bronze shaft sleeve. The dry shaft design isolates the shaft from the circulating fluid to minimize corrosion risk. A mechanical seal, constructed with a silicon-carbide seat half and EPT rubber, supports pressure up to 125 PSI. This assembly includes flush seal line taps to permit the installation of a filter for protection against non-condensable particles in open systems, alongside standard suction and discharge pressure tappings for system monitoring.
Powering this assembly is a 5 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, configured for a 200-230V / 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.43. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
