This Taco CI Series close-coupled end suction pump features an 8" suction connection and a 6" discharge connection. The pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and cover, a stainless steel impeller, and a bronze shaft sleeve. The nominal impeller diameter is 11". The unit utilizes a mechanical seal with a silicon-carbide seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber, rated for operation up to 250°F. The pump assembly includes ANSI Class 125 flanges without a wear ring. The dry shaft design isolates the shaft from the circulating fluid, and the casing incorporates flush seal line taps and pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections. The rear pullout configuration allows for service without disturbing system piping, while the top center line discharge facilitates piping layouts.
The pump operates at 1750 RPM and is driven by a 25 HP Baldor TEFC motor. The motor is configured for a 230-460V/60Hz/3PH power supply and meets NEMA premium efficiency standards per MG1-12.55. It features a 284 JM motor frame style with feet and includes AEGIS shaft grounding. The starting configuration is across the line, and the system is rated with a DOE PEI of 0.92. This unit is designed for operation in a 40°C ambient environment.
