This Taco CI Series close coupled end suction pump features a 4" suction and 3" discharge with ANSI Class 125 flanges. The construction includes a cast iron casing, a 7-1/4" bronze impeller, and a bronze wear ring. It utilizes a dry shaft design with a slip-on shaft sleeve and a mechanical seal composed of a ceramic seat, carbon rotor, and EPT rubber. The pump includes flush seal line taps and pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections. A rear pullout design permits servicing of the internal components without disconnecting the system piping, while the top center line discharge configuration assists with self-venting.
The pump is configured with a Baldor 40 HP motor in a 286 JM frame with feet and an ODP enclosure with a drip cover. It operates at 3450 RPM on a 230-460V, 60Hz, 3PH power supply. The motor meets NEMA Premium Efficiency standards per MG1-12.55 and includes an AEGIS shaft grounding device. The unit is rated for a 40°C ambient temperature and a maximum fluid temperature of 250°F. This configuration uses across the line starting and features CCW rotation. The pump has a DOE PEI value of 0.9.
