This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with an integrated center-line discharge and a bronze impeller. The pump construction incorporates a dry shaft design with a stainless steel shaft protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. A ceramic mechanical seal with EPT rubber components isolates the fluid path, providing a pressure rating of 125 PSI. The bearing housing contains permanently lubricated ball bearings, and the casing includes gauge ports for suction and discharge monitoring. The assembly operates at temperatures up to 250°F.
The pump is powered by a 7.5 HP premium efficiency ODP motor operating at 1750 RPM, equipped with Aegis grounding on a 200-230V, 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
