This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a class 30 cast iron casing with an integral center-line discharge and a bronze impeller dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3. It incorporates a stainless steel shaft paired with a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve, isolated from the circulating fluid by a dry shaft design. A mechanical seal composed of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber ensures fluid containment at pressures up to 125 PSI. The pump assembly relies on permanently lubricated, sealed-for-life bearings within a cast iron housing to maintain alignment and rotation.
Powered by a 25 HP Premium Efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, the assembly integrates Aegis shaft grounding and functions on a 380-460V / 3PH power supply, yielding a DOE PEI rating of 0.46. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
