This base-mounted end suction pump utilizes a cast iron casing with integrally cast mounting feet and a bronze impeller. The design incorporates a dry shaft construction to prevent contact between the circulating fluid and the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. This assembly includes a ceramic mechanical seal with EPT rubber rated for 250°F. Pressure tappings are provided at both the suction and discharge connections for monitoring system pressure. The pump construction supports a maximum pressure of 125 PSI.
This unit utilizes a 20 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, integrated with Aegis grounding and powered by a 208V 3PH supply, yielding a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with an electro-mechanical bypass with a main disconnect at 5kA SCCR and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
