This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with an integrally cast mounting foot and a bronze impeller dynamically balanced to ANSI Grade G6.3. The assembly integrates a dry shaft design, utilizing a stainless steel shaft covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve to prevent fluid contact. A mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components maintains system integrity at temperatures up to 250°F. The unit incorporates a center-line discharge configuration to facilitate air venting and allows for field maintenance without disturbing existing system piping connections.
Powered by a 2 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, the assembly incorporates Aegis grounding and utilizes a 208V / 3PH power supply, achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with an electro-mechanical bypass with a main fused disconnect and 100kA SCCR and holds an enclosure NEMA Type 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
