This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a class 30 cast iron casing and a stainless steel impeller. The assembly incorporates a dry shaft design with a 125 PSI pressure rating to isolate the stainless steel shaft from the circulating fluid, aided by a bronze shaft sleeve. Fluid containment is managed by a mechanical seal comprised of a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components, which prevents leakage within the volute casing.
The 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operates at 1750 RPM and utilizes Aegis grounding for protection against electrical discharge, powered by 200-230V / 3PH electricity, with a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
