This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing rated for 125 PSI and incorporates a bronze impeller along with a stainless steel shaft. A bronze shaft sleeve protects the shaft through a dry shaft design that prevents contact with the circulating fluid. The mechanical seal assembly utilizes a tungsten carbide seat half and EPT rubber. The center-line discharge casing includes a wear ring to provide serviceability without disturbing system piping.
The 3 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operates at 1750 RPM, integrates Aegis grounding, and is powered by a 200-230V 3PH supply, achieving a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The "S" in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
