This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly integrates a dry shaft design that prevents circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is protected by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. This mechanical seal configuration utilizes ceramic seat halves and EPT rubber components, maintaining a pressure rating of 125 PSI without the use of a wear ring. The pump casing incorporates center-line discharge for positive air venting, with gauge ports for suction and discharge monitoring.
Powered by a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor, the assembly operates at 1750 RPM and incorporates Aegis grounding, accepting 380-460V / 3PH input power with a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 4X / IP 66 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
