This close-coupled end suction pump incorporates a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a bronze shaft sleeve and a dry shaft design, which protects the pump shaft by preventing contact with the circulating fluid. This configuration provides a maximum operating pressure of 125 PSI without a wear ring. The pump includes a mechanical seal constructed with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, along with flush seal line taps to allow for filter installation. Pressure tappings are located on the suction and discharge connections for monitoring system performance.
The 50 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operates at 1750 RPM, incorporates Aegis grounding, and receives power via 380-460V / 3PH supply, resulting in a DOE PEI of 0.46. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
