This base-mounted end suction pump comprises a cast iron casing with an integrally cast mounting foot and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design with a stainless steel shaft and a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve to isolate the shaft from the circulating fluid. A mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber components provides fluid containment, while pressure tappings on the suction and discharge connections allow for monitoring system pressure. The pump construction is rated for 125 PSI and incorporates a wear ring to support consistent hydraulic performance within the volute.
Powered by a 15 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM with Aegis grounding, the pump utilizes a 380-460V / 3PH power supply and provides a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 12 / IP 55 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
