This base-mounted end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The design incorporates a dry shaft to prevent circulating fluid from contacting the stainless steel shaft, which is covered by a replaceable bronze shaft sleeve. The pump utilizes a mechanical seal with a ceramic seat and EPT rubber, rated for 250°F operation. With a maximum pressure rating of 125 PSI, the unit manages fluid flow without a wear ring. The center-line discharge casing includes gauge ports at the suction and discharge connections, along with a drain port at the bottom of the housing.
Power is supplied by a 7.5 HP premium efficiency TEFC motor operating at 1750 RPM, which integrates Aegis grounding and utilizes a 380-460V 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.44. The S in the SFI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
