This close-coupled end suction pump is constructed with a cast iron casing and a bronze impeller. The assembly utilizes a dry shaft design that isolates the pump shaft from the circulating fluid, further protected by an easy-to-replace bronze shaft sleeve. The mechanical seal integrates a ceramic seat half with EPT rubber elements. Pressure tappings are incorporated into the suction and discharge connections to facilitate system monitoring. This design comprises a wear ring and maintains a 125 PSI operating pressure rating.
Powered by a 15 HP premium efficiency ODP motor, the pump operates at 3450 RPM and includes Aegis grounding for the 380-460V, 3PH power supply, resulting in a DOE PEI rating of 0.45. The 'S' in the SCI series denotes Taco's advanced Self-Sensing technology, which eliminates remote sensors and field wiring by using internal mathematical algorithms to calculate system resistance and automate variable flow. The included VFD is configured with a fused disconnect without bypass and holds an enclosure NEMA Type 1 / IP 21 rating. The drive ships unmounted for customer wall installation without a bracket, harness, or vibration mounts.
